Recap: NYEBN Event At La Pomme NYC (Feb. 9, 2010)

NYEBN La Pomme Networking Event This post is a recap of a networking event hosted by NY Entrepreneurs Business Network (NYEBN) on Tuesday, Feb. 9.  NYEBN is a business networking group based in NYC.  Social media has always been a big component of this group in that we are currently giving monthly seminars to help our entrepreneurs understand the pivotal roles that social media plays in terms of building a sustainable business and developing long-lasting customer relationships.

This week, New York is being hit hard by the snowstorm.  But we are really pleased with the turnout at Tuesday’s event. Being a big social media advocate, I’ve done a short interview with one attendee and uploaded the clip to Vimeo to share with everyone. JC Hewitt is a young entrepreneur and a great networker.  I’ve had a thoroughly productive discussion with him the other day about social media and entrepreneurship.  See the video below.  I’ve also created a photo album which you can see in the following.

  • Good questions, Eric. Reading reviews on Yelp about each venue before deciding whether to use it for the next event has almost become a natural instinct for me. Other than that, I believe the ability to host quality events consistently would help you grab the attention from a lot of venues.
