New York Tech Meetup hosted a very interesting meeting on Tuesday, February 2nd. The Meetup was held at the Haft Auditorium of FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in NYC. This Meetup was called “Rally for The Future.” Scott Heiferman, the founder of Meetup.com, was the host of the event. Sitting in the front of the auditorium, I had the opportunity to record the entire meeting. Here I want to share two most memorable speeches from this Meetup, featuring Scott Herferman’s intro speech and Clay Shirky talking about roles friends play on social networks.
Before we dive into these two clips, let’s review what other featured speakers appeared on the stage at the meeting:
- Tony Bacigalupo, New Work City
- Ben Berkowitz, SeeClickFix
- Majora Carter, Majora Carter Group
- David Nassar & Jason Leibman, Alliance of Youth Movements
- Jacqueline Novogratz, Acumen Fund
- Jay Parkinson, The Future Well
