Thanksgiving is right on the corner. We are soon to wrap up the year of 2009. 2009 is a special year. Twitter gained more momentum. Facebook acquired Friendfeed. Hundreds of other startups are rolling out new social media platforms in an astronomical rate. So what is your special way to say “Goodbye” to 2009? For a starter, here are 30 ways you can use social media to its fullest during the holiday season.

  1. Write a new blog post on how to find good shopping deals with social media, like what Mashable did here.
  2. Tweet about good deals you find in different places, such as Macy’s, to inform your local friends
  3. Upload all the photos you’ve taken with your friends and family to your Flickr account to share with others
  4. Make a silly, funny, and memorable holiday video and upload it to YouTube
  5. Do a seminar and update your audience on what you have learned with social media in 2009
  6. Tweet “Happy Holiday,” “Happy Thanksgiving,” & “Happy Christmas” to your followers as a special “Thank You
  7. Create a special holiday event and promote it on Facebook or Meetup to invite your friends to join
