While Twitter has been growing exponentially in the US, the company shows no signs of slowing down in its journey to take over the world. According to the Nikkei business daily report, Twitter has partnered with Digital Garage in the process of developing a website which enables Japanese mobile users to sign up for the service on their handsets.
Digital Garage is a Japanese company which integrates three core technologies – IT (Information Technology), MT (Marketing Technology) and FT (Financial Technology). According to the Twitter blog –
“To support continued growth in Japan, Twitter has formed a partnership with Digital Garage to create the official Twitter Japan service. As part of this arrangement, Digital Garage has made an investment in Twitter, Inc and will commit engineering and other development resources to help us bring Twitter to Japan.”
The service will be launched for Japanese mobile users as early as next month. As a result of the joint venture, the shares of Digital Garage Inc. increased by 11% in Tokyo morning trade Wednesday.
